Meadow Mist Farm Rules

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:

  • Check-in: From 15:00pm
  • Check-out: No later than 10:00am

Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon prior request and availability.

OCCUPANCY:

  • The unit accommodates a maximum of 4 adults & 2 children
  • No extra guest beyond the agreed number in the booking.
  • Outside visitors are prohibited during the stay – without prior approval.

PETS POLICY:

  • No pets allowed unless upon prior request and subject to approval of such pets – Meadow Mist can approve or deny such requests as the deem fit.

FIRE SAFETY:

  • Fires are only allowed in designated built-in braai area.

SMOKING:

  • No smoking inside the unit. Smoking is permitted only in outdoor areas.
  • Cigarette butts may be dispose safely to protect the farm and ensure everyone’s safety.
  • Please don’t dispose cigarette butts anywhere on the farm other than in a trash bin.

DAMAGES & BREAKAGES:

  • Please report any damage or breakages immediately.
  • Guest will be liable for any damage to the property or its contents during their stay.

FISHING AT MEADOW MIST:

  • The dams are available for guest use but must be used responsibly.
  • Trout Fishing – FLY FISHING EQUIPMENT ONLY – CATCH AND RELEASE – (Closest dam to the unit)
  • If you wish to keep any trout OR any bass you catch, the cost is R150 per fish. We trust in the honesty of our guest to help our business thrive.
  • Second and third dam furthest away from the unit is available for guest to fish for bass – CATCH AND RELEASE

  • Meadow Mist conducts routine inspections of all dams prior to each guest’s arrival, including checks for any deceased fish.

    Guests acknowledge that the dams contain live fish, including trout and bass, and agree to treat the environment responsibly during their stay. In the event that any fish are found dead during the guest’s stay or upon departure particularly trout, the guest may be held liable where negligence or interference is reasonably suspected.

    A replacement cost of R150 per fish will be charged for any fish lost during the guest’s stay.

  • Payment for trout and bass kept can be paid in cash/EFT at Meadow Mist.

PLEASE RESPECT OUR PROPERTY AS YOU WOULD YOUR OWN.

LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS:

  • Meadow Mist is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  • Please lock the doors and windows when leaving the unit.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS:

  • All cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy.
  • No refunds will be given for early departure or failure to comply with these rules.
