TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR MEADOW MIST:

PROPERTY USE:

  • Guests use the accommodation and facilities, including access to the farm, at their own risk. For the safety of all guests, swimming is strictly prohibited in all dams on the property. Additionally, children must be supervised at all times while on the premises. Guests enter and use the property at their own risk. Meadow Mist farm and its owners are not liable for any accidents, injuries or damage that may occur during their stay.

WILDLIFE AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT:

  • Meadow Mist farm is home to wildlife and natural surroundings. Guests are expected to act responsibly and respect the animals and environment. The farm is not liable for any injury or harm caused by interaction with wildlife, farm animals or the natural elements.

FISHING & DAM USE:

  • Fishing and use of the dams are undertaken at the guest’s own risk. The owners accept no liability for accidents, injuries or damages arising from these activities.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS:

  • Meadow Mist farm is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings during your stay. Guest are advised to lock up valuables and take necessary precautions.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:

  • Guests are responsible for any damage to the property or its contents during their stay. Any damage caused by misuse or negligence will result in a charge to cover repair or replacement costs which is payable on the same day of departure.

ROAD ACCESS:

  • The route to Meadow Mist farm includes gravel roads. Guests travel at their own risk, and Meadow Mist is not responsible for any vehicle damage or accidents that occur on the way to or from Meadow Mist. During the summer months, we may experience days with heavy rainfall, which can affect the gravel road, making it slippery, muddy, and rocky. Please ensure you contact us before your arrival so we can update you on the condition of the gravel road. For most of the year, however, it is accessible with a low-rise vehicle.

WEATHER CONDITIONS:

  • Meadow Mist farm is not responsible for any changes or disruptions caused by adverse weather conditions.

SELF-CATERING RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Meadow Mist provides self-catering accommodation only. Guests acknowledge and accept that they are solely responsible for supplying all food, beverages, firewood, charcoal, firelighters, and any other items required for cooking, heating, or personal comfort during their stay.

  • Given the high-altitude location of Dullstroom and its often cold, windy, and unpredictable weather conditions, guests must ensure they arrive fully prepared with appropriate supplies and clothing. Meadow Mist does not warrant or guarantee the availability of firewood, fuel, food, or other consumable supplies on the property.

  • Meadow Mist shall not be held liable for any inconvenience, discomfort, or interruption to a guest’s stay resulting from a failure to bring adequate provisions or supplies. By confirming a booking, guests acknowledge and accept these self-catering responsibilities.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS:

  • All bookings are subject to our cancellation policy. No refunds will be issued for early departure, no shows or failure to comply with farm rules.

BOOKINGS VIA THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS:

  • Meadow Mist accepts reservations through third-party booking platforms including, but not limited to, Airbnb, Booking.com, and LekkeSlaap, as well as through direct bookings.
  • Guests making reservations through third-party platforms acknowledge that the booking relationship is subject to the terms, conditions, policies, and communication systems of the respective platform used. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that their booking is confirmed, valid, and active on the platform through which the reservation was made.
  • All official communication regarding confirmations, amendments, cancellations, or refunds for bookings made through third-party platforms may be conducted through the respective platform. Guests are responsible for monitoring and responding to communications, notifications, or messages sent through the platform used for the reservation. Meadow Mist cannot be held responsible for any delays, missed messages, or failures of communication between the platform and the guest.
  • Meadow Mist reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or request the cancellation of any reservation made through a third-party booking platform. In such instances, the relevant booking platform will communicate the cancellation to the guest and administer any applicable refunds in accordance with their procedures and policies.
  • Where Meadow Mist initiates the cancellation of a reservation, a full refund may be authorised, including bookings originally classified as non-refundable, subject to the processing procedures of the booking platform. Refunds for cancellations initiated by guests remain subject to the cancellation policy applicable to the booking.
  • Meadow Mist reserves the right to refuse accommodation or cancel a reservation if a guest displays abusive, threatening, disrespectful, or inappropriate behaviour toward management, staff, or the property prior to arrival or during the stay.
  • For direct bookings made with Meadow Mist, all confirmations, communications, cancellations, and refund arrangements will be handled directly between Meadow Mist and the guest.

By booking and staying at Meadow Mist, guest accept these terms and conditions.
